Black Widow: A Perfect Cocktail of Action, Betrayals, and Family Drama...

A New Black Widow, Florence Pugh grabbed the spotlight with her beauty and wicked sense of humour…

Short Overview

The plot starts with a young-weary girl (Natasha Romanoff) cycling on the streets of Ohio, strolling in her melody. A perfect family of four, two adoring parents and two young daughters, humming to the tunes of Bye Bye American Pie song.

Natasha's life shatters when her parents are exposed, and they turn out to be Russian spies. The girls are shown separated in the Russian camps; they are trained and brainwashed to be virulent Assassins.

The first 20 minutes of the movie revolves around Natasha hiding and escaping from General Ross after the events of Captain America: the Civil War. Onwards, while she was on her way to refill her batteries, her car met with a blow, hovering over the bridge.

The very next moment, she finds herself fighting with a robot who is related to her past. Like any other typical life of a superheroes-one adventure comes overlapping another- she finds a glowing chemical contained in a test tube with a picture of her sister.
The storyline strongly focuses on Natasha's youngest sister, Yelena ( Pugh), a part of the next generation of Black Widow, who bolsters a chemical vial that controls their brains. This neuro-controlling antidote will help free her colleagues from the Red Room, for which she approaches Natasha.

The reunion fuels a plausible motive to destroy bad people and unite with their beloved ones- Alexis (Harbour) & Melina (Weisz)- backed up with uncertain twists and turns in the story.

WHY NATASHA ROMANOFF REMAINS UNSUCCESSFUL TO SET THE STAGE ON FIRE
After portraying the monotonous character of Natasha Romanoff in the Marvel series, the Black Widow's plot fails to address her buoyant attitude and persona. The Black Widow's killer instinct, exquisite beauty, and enamored stunts go off the radar.

Marvel waited too long to give Natasha a solo stage of her own. Because of this skepticism, the audience seemed disinterested, and she couldn't present her potential outside of her Avenger's ventures.

Surprisingly, Florence Pugh's Yelena Belova stole the heart of the audience. Her stances, charisma, and wicked sense of humor captivated the audience till the end. This movie might be Pugh's Marvel's launch cartel, for the other prequels before her kill in the studio's most successful venture, Avengers: Endgame.

Natasha's hardcore fans may be unhappy with her sharing much spotlight with other actors, especially Red Guardians and Yelena. Yet all are deserving and great contributors for overall success.

Also, many fans were disappointed when the creators skipped 20 years of her early life. Everyone was looking forward to knowing her assassin cynosure, a roadmap from her training to being a part of an Avenger.

RACHEL WEISZ ENTERS MARVELS WITH A BASH!
In one of her interviews, Rachel Weisz said she was surprised and excited to play in Marvel films.

Freshly out from her Oscar nomination for 'The Favorite,' Rachel Weisz made her Marvel debut in this exhilarating and redemptive movie. Weisz steps into the cinematic franchise as Melina Vostokoff, an elite Russian spy destined to become the Iron Maiden.

Melina Vostokoff is an eccentric, flawless, and icy villainess hellbound on avenging the Black Widow operations, which she totally nailed like a wink.

WHAT HAPPENS IN THE END?
(Warning! This Post Contains a spoiler of the end)

The escape of Natasha Romanoff from General Ross at the end of the Black Widow remains a mystery. The movie ends with Natasha hovering on the plane for her next mission before Avengers: Infinity War. However, she again flees from General Ross, who is shown busy hunting down the Avengers who didn't sign the Soviet Accords.

General Thaddeus Ross made two notable appearances in the Black Window. First, at the start of the film, where he and his team trace Natasha in a building. But she fugitively escapes the building before they find her. Later, after triumphantly destroying the Red Room and killing Dreykov.

Every time she effortlessly and flawlessly manages to break out of Ross's custody remains one of the biggest mysteries of the Black Widow movie!

A Perfect Cocktail of Action, Betrayals, and Family Drama...
Black Widow- now streaming on Hotstar Disney- is non-entertaining, overstretched, and seems doomed from the start. In the haste of fitting itself in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), the director ended up portraying a nostalgic family drama with a notion of revenge.

Black Widow is the prequel of MCU collections, giving a sole stage to Natasha Romanoff (Scarlett Johansson) for narrating her side of the story. The Red Room, her Family, Dreykov, and Russian Assassins - many things that were whispered in the earlier films - are explained in this movie. Unfortunately, the story told is all generic and too typical for the Marvel series.

At times, it feels as if the director, Cate Shortland, and her team studied the whole genre very interestingly and tried to include every aspect of her life.

But somehow, they lost their grip towards the end. There are too many characters, incomplete story backgrounds, and top-notch personalities on a single screen that end up stealing the limelight of Natasha Romanoff.

In consideration, The film tried to bridge the gap between Natasha Romanoff and her past life experiences. The Black Widow incorporates all-time espionage-action movies like the James Bond series into something that feels lively and original in its own term. A fisticuff between the female leads is one of the best performances that is well shot by the director and her team.
